Will an AMD quad processor be able to run an Elder Scrolls pc game?

I'm trying to figure out whic HP Pavilion lap top I should get and have narrowed my selection down to two choices....the only difference is one is AMD quad-core and one is Intell i7 quad-core processor....the one with AMD has AMD radeon discrete cl graphics and Intel has Radeon 6490M ....I'm not sure how to decide....the AMD one is much MUCh cheaper by amount $300 but it is fast enough to play the new Skyrim game when it comes out? Considering that thats really the only game I will be playing?
