Would like a little info on Vermont gun laws.?

Hi, I'm thinking of a change of scenery to beautiful VT mostly for the atmosphere but the lax gun laws are a very close 2nd. I'm just the kind of person who likes to measure 6 times and cut once, so I'd just like someone to clarify the gun laws for me. I understand there are websites I'd just like to hear it from someone who knows first hand and can explain it in lamen's terms. A lot of laws are written so confusing and with "old" words that people of today looking them up have no idea what they mean. Thanks.
