I need the public's opinion?

My 96 Isuzu Rodeo will take 900-1200 to fix. He said closer to 1200. I don't even know if it's worth it with with the car that was only 1850 to begin with that I've already paid 170 to fix. I'm really tempted to just give the car away and use my bike. I live in a small town so I might have to leave early for up to hour long bike rides, but then again I wouldn't have to pay $4 gas. What do you think?
