Is observation in a cardiac cath lab safe during pregnancy?

I am a nursing student and in my third trimester of pregnancy. I've been notified of an upcoming clinical day where I'm igned to observe the care of patients in the cardiac catheter lab. I'm just not sure if the tests that are performed will be safe for my fetus. I could be confused with the procedure, but don't people have to wear lead aprons?
