Should I go back to college?

I'm thinking about going back to college...I dropped out my first year, and have been regretting it since. I was taking Computer Programming, but I think I might want to go back and become a cop or a firemen. Not sure which one though.....my dads a firemen and my older brother is almost through the police academy, but I'm not sure which one I want to be.
